Leeds City Council approached us to develop Grapeful — the first international wine festival to be held in the impressive Town Hall.
The festival concept is a little different from the traditional wine festival — more inclusive, less stuffy and more fun, incorporating food and live music. The hope was that the festival would attract a wide spectrum of attendees, from wine buffs to novices, young and old. Therefore our branding for the event had to feel unique, unlike any other wine festival, perhaps not like a wine festival at all. At the heart of the branding is our bespoke typography which grows into an abstract grape vine — reflecting the concepts of unity and celebration. This is supported by our tagline ‘wine, food and music entwined’.
