English Heritage — Rievaulx ReViewed

It has been a pleasure to partner English Heritage as they celebrate 100 years of caring for Rievaulx Abbey in North Yorkshire. To highlight this milestone, we were asked to design and produce a photographic exhibition — ‘Rievaulx ReViewed’. Using archive imagery and 3D effect stereograms, the exhibition traces the transformation of the abbey from ruin to the monument it is today. Find out more and visit Rievaulx — it’s well worth the trip!

Fedrigoni Top Awards — Barcelona

Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to the Fedrigoni Top Awards held at the The Museu del Disseny in Barcelona.

Our project for Friends of Ham, Ham’s Tales, featured as part of the international exhibition which showcased some of the best work that used Fedrigoni paper.

Twenty Plates

We’ve recently taken delivery of Twenty Plates — a cook book we’ve designed for Debby Lewis-Harrison.

It’s a visual treat of twenty tried & tested recipes guaranteed to impress — featuring photography by Debby and illustrations by Ruth Ferrier.

National Trust — Reindeers on the loose!

We had some fun working on this year’s Christmas trail for Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. We created a series of wooden reindeers which are hidden around the estate — each reindeer has it’s own story that links to the history of the site.

Great fun for all the family!

Leeds City Museum — In Their Footsteps

To coincide with the 100th anniversary of start of the Battle of the Somme, ‘In Their Footsteps’ tells Leeds’ story of the First World War.

We worked with Leeds City Museum to design and produce the exhibition. We’ll be adding this as a full project soon — but here’s a few images in the meantime!

Leeds Museums & Galleries — Family Campaign

It’s great to see our family campaign for Leeds Museums and Galleries appearing around the region!

The campaign promotes their full range of attractions in Leeds and aims to encourage family visits during the school holidays. Our solution uses the headline ‘Capture Imaginations’, coupled with a series of child portraits, illuminated by images of activities, sites and events.

National Trust — Cliveden 350

Cliveden is a beautiful National Trust estate in Buckinghamshire — consisting of a mansion, formal gardens, river and woodlands.

This year marks the 350th anniversary of history at the site. We were asked to capture this milestone in a visual identity, which is now being used to enhance celebratory events, art installations and conservation projects.

Summer is here!

The summer months have arrived and even though the sun isn’t shining today, it’s still a good time for us to share our recent redesign of the Leeds Museums and Galleries ‘What’s On’ guide.

Highlighting the best exhibitions, displays and events across 9 Leeds locations, this is the guide to get you out and about this summer!

Folly! returns to Fountains Abbey

On Friday our team was lucky enough to preview Matt Collishaw’s amazing artworks for this year’s Folly! exhibition at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. The installations did not disappoint, with the centrepiece chandelier zoetrope particularly mesmerising!

We evolved our identity this year to hint towards the concepts of movement and reflection seen in Matt’s work.

The journey

Continuing our relationship with Wakefield Grammar School Foundation, we’ve recently completed two new prospectuses for their Girls’ Schools. The concept is based around the journey the students take — from the Junior School progressing through to the Senior School.

Featuring photography from Adrian Ray.

Ham’s Tales — Friends of Ham

‘Ham’s Tales’ is a collection of recipes, stories and lessons from the award-winning charcuterie, Friends of Ham.

We’ve really enjoyed designing this little book, which features a parchment dust jacket, string and foil — all to hint towards delicatessen packaging.

Great job by photographer Justin Slee too, who carefully captured staff portraits and food imagery.

National Trust — Walking Guides

Fresh back from the printers is this set of walking guides for the National Trust.

The aim of the guides is to highlight the full range of rambles, hikes and strolls around Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal. As part of the project we produced a bespoke style of maps, incorporating layered textures, illustrations and graphics.

Happy walking this autumn!

Richard Moran

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps for quite a while — but it’s a pleasure to announce our new brand and website for photographer Richard Moran.

As part of the design process, we looked at Richard’s characteristics and attributes and thought about how they might come to life in his brand. Be it the attention to detail in the bespoke, sans-serif logotype, or the warmth of the colour palette — we wanted this to be a fair representation of Richard and where he is now in his career.

Buffalo — Product Directory

We’ve been busy recently producing this new product directory and look book for outdoor clothing brand Buffalo — featuring imagery by Kerry Harrison.

We’ll be adding this to our project pages soon!

National Trust — Folly!

Our team recently visited Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal in North Yorkshire to take a closer look at the Folly! exhibition which we have branded.

It’s always nice to see our work come to life — especially in such beautiful surroundings.

Take a look at the Folly! project.

Adrian Ray website

We’ve been helping long-time collaborator Adrian Ray to put together his new website.

The result is a clean and simple design, pushing his brilliant imagery to the fore.

Park Square Barristers Photoshoot

Last week we enlisted the help of Justin Slee to photograph a library of images for Park Square Barristers.

Justin’s shots captured the characters and environment of the chambers perfectly. Have a look at more of the project.

It was all about wine in Leeds this weekend, as the Town Hall hosted the city’s first international wine festival.

We had plenty to celebrate with our branding judged a huge success by both the client and public. Cin cin!

A vision for the Yorkshire Dales

Just back from the printers is our vision document for the National Trust land in the Yorkshire Dales.

The brochure tells the story of the Dales and how the National Trust is working to keep it a special place for all to enjoy. Our job was to present the information in an engaging way, sympathetic to the environment and easy for key stakeholders and supporters to follow.

Creative Re-Vue

Great to see our ads for photographers agent Vue appear in Creative Review recently.

It’s go go go!

Race Cars Direct is a hub for buying and selling specialist race cars and equipment. With over 2 million visits and 30,000 regular users, the site is growing rapidly.

We’ve just completed the redesign and front-end development of their new website. The revised structure and up-to-date functionality will vastly improve the experience of their users… and make the process of finding the perfect race car that bit quicker!

Kerry in Creative Review

Here’s the advert we produced for Kerry Harrison to announce his recent switch to photographer agents Vue — featuring imagery from his shoots with Lowe Apline, Premier Inn and Scottish Power.

Friday saw the launch of Justin Slee’s ‘Avant’ — a photography exhibition delving behind the scenes at Northern Ballet.

Thanks to Justin for trusting us with branding the project — and for the invite to the launch!

The exhibition runs until 11th April and you can order prints from the Avant website.

This Day On

New brand and naming for premium wedding photographers This Day On.

To tie in with the new company name, we created an abstract, interconnected ellipsis (…) marque.

Suddenly everything became colourful

It has been a pleasure to work with European printer Colorful in delivering their new UK website.

Based in Porto, the company is the biggest large format printer in the EU — offering high quality fabric printing for the retail and fashion industries. Our task was to create a local presence for their new UK sales team.

12 days of Christmas

Our foil blocked Christmas packs are on their way to our brilliant clients. Thanks for all your support and all the best for the new year!

World Heritage Site — Management Plan

Our latest project for the National Trust is this document for Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, produced in partnership with English Heritage.

The purpose of the document is to inform and consult the general public and Trust stakeholders over their plans for the World Heritage Site. The results of this will help steer the full management plan and shape the future of one of the Trust’s flagship sites for generations to come.

New work for data analytics company Entitylink — including brand, website, icon set and user interface design.

Workshops at Chirpy

Always great to work with Harriet at Chirpy. We’ve been busy recently producing workshop programmes, website updates, interior signage and ‘Creative Parties’ leaflets.

The Pit Menu Design

The Pit is a chain of regional bars and restaurants, delivering authentic Oklahoma cooking in trendy, industrial settings.

We recently delivered a set of new food and drinks menus using a high build varnish on the covers to create a rough texture — mimicking the exposed concrete found in the bar interiors.
